Wisdom
cannot be taught by words. It is only possible by personal contact and by immediate
experience. C. G. Jung | Mark
Sullivan, Ph.D., MFT. Jungian Analyst and Psychotherapist
Welcome to my practice of psychotherapy and Jungian analysis
in the East Bay and San Francisco. Successful psychotherapy
is a partnership based on trust. People do change, becoming more truly themselves
when they find the right, trained therapist and they are able to talk freely.
I listen to you with respect and you develop greater self-awareness. This enables
you to communicate more clearly with yourself and others, to reflect on difficult
issues, and to let go of outmoded behaviors that do not further your deeper needs.
Even if you are overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or in relationship
conflict, the issues and symptoms that trouble you provide solutions as we listen
to them carefully without prejudgment. You can discover how to get unstuck and
to reach the goals that have been hard to reach. I have been
in practice for over thirty years. I am a Jungian analyst and I teach advanced
therapists at the San Francisco Jung Institute. I work with individual adults,
couples, teens, and children, struggling with a wide range of difficulties from
relationship issues, problems at work, school behavior, problems with peers, isolation,
addictions, sexuality, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, loss, aging, and illness. ©2012
